Working Group (WG) Coordinator Role Description
Overview
The WG Coordinator serves as a key link between the PAND board and its working groups (WGs). The role ensures smooth communication, strategic alignment, and active participation within the WGs, enabling them to contribute to PAND’s mission effectively.
Responsibilities

Liaison with the Board:
- Act as the main point of contact between the WG and the PAND board.
- Provide regular updates to the board on WG activities, progress, and challenges.

Strategic Oversight:
- Ensure WG activities align with PAND’s mission and objectives.
- Support the WG in setting and achieving specific goals and milestones.

Facilitation and Leadership:
- Organize and lead WG meetings or delegate tasks as needed.
- Encourage collaboration, active participation, and engagement among WG members.

Member Recruitment and Onboarding:
- Promote WG opportunities to Early Career Researchers (ECRs) at Danish universities.
- Support new members during their onboarding process.

Communication and Reporting:
- Maintain clear and consistent communication within the WG and with the board.
- Submit brief monthly reports summarizing WG activities, accomplishments, and next steps.

Project Oversight:
- Oversee specific projects undertaken by the WG and ensure timely completion.
- Identify and address any roadblocks or challenges faced by the WG.
Time Commitment
- Estimated 5-10 hours per month (depending on WG activity levels and projects).
- Attendance at WG meetings and monthly board meetings.
Skills and Attributes
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate WG members.
- A good understanding of PAND’s mission and strategic priorities.
- Proactive problem-solving and leadership abilities.
Selection Process
- WG coordinators will be assigned by the PAND board, with preferences considered where possible.
- Coordinators must be current board members to ensure a strong connection between the WG and the board.
Accountability
- WG coordinators will provide regular updates to the board, including:
- Monthly reports summarizing activities and outcomes.
- Participation metrics (e.g., number of members attending meetings or events).
- Success will be evaluated based on WG engagement, goal achievement, and overall contributions to PAND’s mission.
