Every third PhD-student in Denmark has considered dropping out
In a new survey by DM (Dansk Magisterforening) and PAND (PhD Association Network of Denmark), data shows that PhD students’ well-being is seriously compromised. 56% have already experienced mental health issues caused by their work, and one third has considered dropping out.
This is clearly a systemic issue, and we need to do something about it!
In PAND we think good research comes from PhD students in good well-being. Leadership and supervisors need to ensure a healthy working environment so we can do ground-breaking research.
